Shelby Green is a Research Associate focused on tracking investor-owned utilities in the Southeast and their compliance with (or resistance to) state-mandated decarbonization and energy affordability goals. Her expertise is in utility consumer protections and software development. She lends her expertise to develop public tools that openly track how utilities evade accountability and climate responsibility.

Shelby now lives in the Orlando area, but previously resided in Tallahassee, FL, where she served as the area’s first Black woman Soil and Water Supervisor and a candidate for City Commission.
