Deputy Director
Matt Kasper is deputy director at the Energy and Policy Institute, where he investigates electric and gas utilities, their influence on energy policy, and the impacts of utility decisions on customers’ bills. Since joining EPI in 2014, his work has examined utility campaign contributions, rate cases, executive compensation, trade association spending, front groups, emissions commitments, ratepayer-funded political activities, and industry efforts to delay or weaken clean energy policy. He previously worked on state and local policy issues at the Center for American Progress and was a fellow with Organizing for America.
